Sketches
I was looking for maps that I could see where the bus stops and names of the buildings for the Fredonia Campus and eventually into the surrounding community. So I chose a few maps to mark locations where compost bins could be located. I used two Fredonia Campus maps and used a screenshot from Google maps for the Village of Fredonia.
I used a hot pink hot to mark locations of possible places compost bins could be placed on both campus grounds and in the Fredonia Village.
Roughs
I initially used a green icon with a 'C' to mark where the compost bins would be placed, but it was hard to see on the map, and my ground suggested I use orange from our created color palette. I also used a black-and-white filter on the map to make the orange pop out more.
Final
For the final result, I changed the black-and-white levels to make the map darker so the orange could pop out more.
